Essie | Spring 2020 Collection: Review and Swatches
Understandably, the number of PR packages I've been receiving has slowly dwindled since the start of the pandemic so I was pleasantly surprised to see Essie send over its Spring 2020 Collection. Offering an array of muted pastels, this collection doesn't stray far from the classic spring palette but given our current struggles, the colors are just what we need to add a pop of cheer to our day. I've got reviews and swatches of all six shades to share with you today. To read on, click......

Rainwear Don't Care:
This is a creamy neutral beige. The formulation is fairly pigmented but a bit thick so it was tricky to get a nice and even finish. I was able to get away with two coats on most nails but had to use a third on a few to ensure an opaque coverage.

Feeling Wellies:
A soft warm yellow with just a hint of orange, Feeling Wellies is similar in formulation to Rainwear Don't Care. With a skilled application, you can probably get away with just two coats but I needed three on some nails to ensure a perfect coverage.

Can Dew Attitude:
One of my faves from this collection, Can Dew Attitude is a beautiful pastel mint green. Similar to the previous two shades, the formulation is pigmented but not overly so. Two coats may provide full coverage if applied carefully but I needed three on a few nails to ensure an opaque coverage.

Spring in Your Step:
This is a soft lilac purple with just a hint of pink sheen. The formulation is sheer but even. I used two coats for the swatches below.

Kissed by Mist:
Packed with iridescent shimmers that shift between pink, lavender, and blue, Kissed by Mist is an icy baby pink. The formulation is sheer but even so two coats give a nice and smooth finish.

Make A Splash:
Essentially a blue version of Kissed by Mist, Make A Splash is a sheer baby blue packed with iridescent shimmers. The shimmers are a bit clumpy so the formulation is not very smooth. I used two coats for the swatches below but as you can see, the finish is slightly patchy.
