Glow Recipe | Plum Plump Hyaluronic Lip Gloss Balm: Review
Glow Recipe just dropped a new product and it is an exciting addition to the Plum Plump Collection! Formulated with plum extract, raspberry extract, and hyaluronic acid, the Plum Plump Hyaluronic Gloss Balm (C$30 for 15 ml) promises a buttery soft pout with a glossy, hydrating shine. Packaged in a small glass jar with a wide mouth opening, the Plum Plump Hyaluronic Lip Gloss Balm is a nourishing lip balm with a soft fruity scent. The product is being promoted as a two-in-one balm that doubles as a gloss but I feel that is pure marketing as many thick lip blams offer a glossy shine. The formulation is quite thick and while the finish is glossy, it also feels slightly tacky, so I would only use it before bed. I like that the glass packaging is recyclable but since the lip balm is rather thick and sticky, the application is a bit cumbersome. For hygienic reasons, I would never dip my finger directly into the product so a squeeze tube would have been a much better packaging choice. However, that's generally how I feel about all jarred lip balms.

Overall, this is a very nourishing lip balm for nights when you really need to treat your lips. While the packaging is adorable and the ingredients are great, this is not a groundbreaking product. It's similar to the likes of the Belif Aqua Bomb Overnight Lip Mask or the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, so it's only a worth try if you are looking to mix things up. If you are checking out the Plum Plump family from Glow Recipe, though, I would absolutely recommend the Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer, which is truly one of my favorite summer moisturizers.
