Formulated with carrot root extract rich in beta carotene, vitamin A, and vitamin C, the SKINFOOD Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pad is a soothing toner pad designed to hydrate and calm all skin types. Packaged in a large plastic jar, the Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pad is made of cotton and has a very thick and luxurious waffle-pattern design. The substantial design holds onto a lot of liquid, so one pad is more than enough to generously spread the toner across the face. Because of its thickness, the toner pads can also be split in half to cover different areas of the face if you decide to leave them on for maximal absorption. However, I find that the pads tend to dry out more quickly when split, so I usually leave them intact.

With a very subtle herbal scent, the SKINFOOD Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pad is also formulated with glycerin, hyaluronic acid, seaweed extract, and carrot seed oil to provide additional hydration and antioxidant benefits. It truly feels like a great everyday toner that leaves the skin calm and replenished. The toner absorbs very quickly and doesn't leave behind any discernible residue. Overall, it's hard to find fault with this product. Both the formulation and the packaging make it feel like an everyday luxury. It's tough to go back to bottled toners and plain cotton pads after experiencing these plush waffle pads soaked in calming toner. So if you ever see the SKINFOOD Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pad available at a reasonable price (around C$24 for 60 pads), I would definitely recommend giving it a try. But be warned that once you try it, you may never go back!
