Lately, I’ve been on a bit of a BHA toner binge, testing out everything from the St. Ives BHA Exfoliating Toner to the SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner, Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner, Isntree Chestnut BHA 2% Clear Liquid, and the PanOxyl Clarifying Exfoliant with 2% Salicylic Acid.

Packaged in a simple but sturdy plastic bottle with a small opening to dispense the product, the Naturium BHA Liquid Exfoliant 2% is a liquid toner formulated with salicylic acid and botanical fruit acids to effectively remove excess sebum, clear away dead skin cells, and deeply penetrate pores to reduce congestion. With no discernible scent, the toner has a watery consistency that is easy to spread across the skin. There is no tingling or stinging sensation, and it absorbs quickly, leaving no noticeable residue. The formulation feels very gentle, although if you are sensitive to BHAs, I would not recommend using it more than once a day. Overall, this is a fairly simple but well-formulated BHA toner. I would recommend it, but only if it goes on sale, as I think the $C30 price tag is still steep given the competition. While I agree that the Naturium version is more affordable compared to brands like Paula's Choice and Farmacy, there are still even cheaper alternatives on the market, such as the St. Ives BHA Exfoliating Toner (C$6 for 200ml), which gets the job done just as well.
