Too Faced Holiday 2016 The Chocolate Shop: Review and Swatches
It has been a holiday tradition for Too Faced to release a palette gift set and this year's offering is inspired by Christmastime in New York City. Available exclusively at Sephora, The Chocolate Shop ($72 CAD) gift set includes an eye and cheek palette along with a trio of mini beauty goodies from the brand. The Chocolate Shop is a gift set including a face and cheek palette and three mini-sized products: a 5g Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer, a 4.8g Better Than Sex Mascara, and a 5ml Melted Chocolate Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in "Chocolate Milkshake" (full review and swatches here).

Everything comes in a gift box that fully opens up when the lid is removed. The mini-sized products are stored standing up in what looks like a chocolatier window display. The large but sleek palette is concealed within the wall of the gift box but you can easily take it out of the box for easy storage. The palette is cardboard and you get three shadows weighing at 2g, 18 shadows weighing at 0.95g, and three cheek products at 2.5g each. The palette doesn't include a mirror but it has some really adorable printed designs.

Formulation:
This is the third or fourth holiday palette Too Faced has released (see previous years here, here, and here) so the colors are starting to get quite a bit repetitive. Overall, though, the color scheme for this year is pretty neutral, with tons of nudes and browns (and lots of matte finishes). Each shade in the palette is infused with real cocoa powder so everything literally smells like chocolate! The overall pigmentation is very good, with a few exceptions that are a bit sheer and patchy. Read on below for a breakdown of all the shades.

Dessert's On Me: Pearly white shimmer that's slightly powdery but the pigmentation is very good.
Raspberry Rose: Soft matte pastel pink; the formulation is smooth and buildable.
Sugared Raisin: Glittery mauve-pink; this one is a bit fallout-prone so it should definitely be paired with an eyeshadow primer or a cream shadow base.
Glaze: Smooth and pigmented matte cream.
Cake Batter: Slightly sheer matte peach nude.
Butterscotch: Very pigmented metallic copper gold.

Indulge: Sheer silvery taupe shimmer.

Jingle Berry: Bright magenta shimmer that's very pigmented and creamy.
Pound Cake: Iridescent soft pink with a gold sheen; this is very rich and pigmented.
Huckleberry: Deep blackish plum with a dash of pink sparkles; the formulation is not as creamy as some of the other shades but the color is very buildable.
Inner Light (Highlighter): Rosy gold champagne shimmer; the formulation is soft but slightly fallout-prone, making quite a mess in the pan and inside the palette.
Chocolate Soleil (Bronzer): A classic from Too Faced, Chocolate Soleil is a really nice matte bronzer. The formulation is very smooth and easy to blend.
Chocolate Covered Strawberry (Blush): This is a matte mauve-pink with a very pigmented formulation so a little goes a long way.
