Housed in a frosted glass jar, the Superberry Dream Cleansing Balm unfortunately does not come with any kind of spatula. I understand the eco-friendly intentions but the lack of a spatula means that you either have to dip your finger directly into the jar or find a spatula from another cleanser to use (the one pictured below is from Farmacy). With a soft citrus scent, the Superberry Dream Cleansing Balm has a solid, balmy texture that easily spreads on the skin. The formulation quickly melts away foundation and eyeshadow but with waterproof eyeliner and mascara, I had to rub quite a long time to completely remove them.
In addition to the superberry antioxidants, the formulation also contains sunflower oil, moringa oil, and jojoba oil. However, despite the nourishing ingredients, the cleanser removes easily with warm water and doesn't leave behind any greasy residue. Overall, as much as I love Youth To The People, I think this cleansing balm is just okay. Frankly, as compared to some of my favorite cleansing balms (ex. Belif Aqua Bomb Cleansing Balm and Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm), the Superberry Dream Cleansing Balm is simply not as effective. The formulation removes waterproof eye makeup but it takes way too much effort. I would only recommend it to those looking for an everyday cleansing balm without the need of removing waterproof makeup.
