Isntree | Onion Fresh Fluid Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++: Review
On my visit to Korea earlier this year, I stocked up on sunscreens, and one that had been on my wishlist for a while was the Isntree Onion Fresh Fluid Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++ (~C$25 for 50 ml). Designed for oily and combination skin, this sunscreen is formulated with red onion extract to help soothe the skin. To read more about this sunscreen, click…

SkinCeuticals | C E Ferulic Serum & Clear Daily Soothing UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 50: Review
If you're deep in the skincare community, you've probably heard that SkinCeuticals' 20-year patent on its iconic C E Ferulic Serum expired earlier this year. Since then, at least one major brand (e.l.f.) has released a budget-friendly alternative to the C$220 serum. Not so coincidentally, SkinCeuticals recently sent out a mailer promoting the cult-favorite serum, alongside the Clear Daily Soothing UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 50, which launched last summer. Honestly, before all the buzz around the patent expiration, I had never even heard of the C E Ferulic Serum (probably because it’s way out of my budget), so this is actually my first time trying it. athé | Vegan Relief Sun Essence & Vegan Relief Tone Up Sun Essence: Review and Swatches
While browsing Olive Young in Korea, I came across the brand athĂ©, which I've never encountered before on the North American market. Established in 2019, athĂ© is a Korean vegan beauty brand best known for its Vegan Relief Sun Essence (~C$25 for 50 ml). I spotted the brand's recent collaboration with Naver Webtoon's Maru character and instantly fell in love with the packaging. I ended up picking up the original Vegan Relief Sun Essence and the Vegan Relief Tone Up Sun Essence (~C$25 for 50 ml). I actually couldn't find a whole lot of detailed reviews online about either product, so I thought I would share my thoughts with you today......

APLB | Glutathione Niacinamide Sunscreen & Ampoule Serum: Review
Recently, YesStyle sent me a couple of products from APLB to test out. An acronym for "A plus B", APLB is a Korean skincare brand established in 2014. I've tried their Retinol Vitamin C Vitamin E Ampoule Serum brand before and really enjoyed it so I was excited to try the Glutathione Niacinamide Sunscreen (C$14 for 40 ml) and Glutathione Niacinamide Ampoule Serum ($14 for 40 ml). Both products are part of the extensive Glutathione Niacinamide line-up from APLB, designed to replenish, brighten, and smooth the skin. To read all about the sunscreen and the serum, click......

Kiehl's | Beyond Screen UV Serum SPF 50+: Review
Just in time for summer, Kiehl's released a spanking new sunscreen designed to provide invisible, lightweight protection. Formulated with chemical filters that leave no white cast, the Beyond Screen UV Serum SPF 50+ (C$57 for 50 ml) is also formulated with skincare ingredients that boost radiance and elasticity. As you probably know by now, I'm not a big fan of North American sunscreens and tend to prefer Asian sunscreens. However, I was pleasantly surprised with Kiehl's Beyond Screen UV Serum SPF 50+. Glow Recipe | Watermelon Glow Dew Balm SPF 45

Glow Recipe | Watermelon Glow Dew Balm Sunscreen Stick SPF 45: Review
It's no secret at this point that I am pretty much a die-hard fan of Glow Recipe. The brand makes some of my favorite skincare products (ex. Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops) so I get excited every time they drop a new item. However, it's also no secret that I was not a fan of the Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Sunscreen Glow Recipe released back in 2022. With a formulation that didn't fully absorb and pilled like crazy no matter what I did, the Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Sunscreen was generally panned by fans, resulting in Glow Recipe eventually discontinuing the product. So imagine my surprise when I learned about the release of a new SPF product from Glow Recipe, this time in the form of a sunscreen stick called the Watermelon Glow Dew Balm SPF 45 (C$41 for 16.5 g). Formulated with chemical filters and niacinamide, the Watermelon Glow Dew Balm SPF 45 promises a dewy SPF protection that's easy to re-apply on the go. To read all about this product, click......

Farmstay | Tea Tree Biome Calming Sun Serum & Tea Tree Biome Calming Sun Cream: Review

Disclaimer: This post contains an affiliate code. The products featured were purchased by me and provided for review.
My go-to online retailer for Korean skincare and makeup products is Stylevana. Aside from their competitive pricing, Stylevana always offers some great full-sized gifts with purchases (GWP). I got the Farmstay Tea Tree Biome Calming Sun Cream (C$9.69) as a GWP with a recent order and coincidentally, I also received the Tea Tree Biome Calming Sun Serum (C$11.69) from Stylevana to review for free. Despite having never heard of the brand, I was still very excited to try both products as I've been obsessed with Korean sunscreens. Both sunscreens offer a combination of chemical and physical sun protection, which is pretty rare for Korean sunscreens. To read more about both, click......

Belif | Aqua Bomb Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Sunscreen: Review
Widely available in Canada through Sephora, The Face Shop, and Avon, Belif is one of the more heavily promoted Korean skincare brands in North America. Belif offers one of my favorite moisturizers on the market (The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb) but I somehow only recently found out that they carry a sunscreen as well! Described as a two-in-one moisturizing sunscreen, the Aqua Bomb Broad Spectrum SPF 50 (C$51.50 for 50 ml) is infused with a handful of botanical extracts (calendula, marigold, honeysuckle) for a boost of antioxidant properties. SOME BY MI | V10 Hyal Air Fit Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF50: Review
SOME BY MI is a Korean skincare brand that I've seen a lot lately. I've spotted it at my local Winners skincare aisle and Stylevana often offers SOME BY MI products as a gift with purchase. Recently, on one of my Stylevana orders, I received the SOME BY MI V10 Hyal Air Fit Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 (C$32.36 for 50ml) as a gift with purchase and because I've been obsessed with Korean skincare products lately, I thought I would test it out and share my thoughts. Bioré | *Canadian Version* UV Aqua Rich Weightless Moisturizer SPF 50: Review
One of my favorite sunscreens of all time is the BiorĂ© UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen (reviewed here) from Japan. So imagine my delight when I learned that a version of it is finally available in Canada! Renamed the BiorĂ© UV Aqua Rich Weightless Moisturizer (C$17.99 for 50 ml), this sunscreen is available in both SPF 30 and SPF 50. I picked up the SPF 50 version at my local London Drugs while it was on sale for C$14.99. To read my thoughts on how it compares to the Japanese version, click......

Recently I had the pleasure of trying out a bunch of new Korean skincare products sent to me by Stylevana and one of the items that really caught my eye is the COMMONLABS Vitamin C Brightening Sun Serum (C$23.99 for 51 ml). A unique two-in-one product, the COMMONLABS Vitamin C Brightening Sun Serum offers a sun protection of SPF50+ PA++++ and a brightening effect. To read my review of the formulation, click......

Heimish | Artless Glow Base: Review and Swatches
Although I have combination skin and have long fought to keep my shine at bay, I have come to embrace the glowy, dewy complexion that's been trendy for a few years now. Therefore, I was on a hunt for a glowy primer that I could use over my moisturizer and found the Heimish Artless Glow Base (C$17.89 for 40 ml) on Stylevana. Heimish is a new-to-me Korean beauty brand launched in 2016. They are well-known for their cleansing balm but I've actually never seen or heard of the brand before. Round Lab | Birch Juice Moisturizing Sun Cream SPF50+ PA++++: Review
As mentioned before, I purchased several different Korean sunscreens this summer and I've already reviewed the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum and the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics Sunscreen. So today, I want to share my thoughts on the Round Lab Birch Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++ (C$29.99 for 50 ml). The most expensive of the three (although often on sale for around C$24 on Stylevana), this sunscreen is described as hydrating and nourishing, doubling as a light moisturizer. SKIN1004 | Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50 PA++++: Review
As I mentioned in my review of the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics Sunscreen, I purchased a few sunscreens on Stylvana this summer. I had intended to review them all before the end of summer but never got around to it. However, just because summer is over doesn't mean that we should stop caring about suncare so I thought I would share with you my thoughts on the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50 PA++++ (C$13 for 50 ml). This is another viral Korean chemical skincare that you've probably seen or heard about. So is it worth all the hype? Read my review to find out......

Beauty of Joseon | Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics Sunscreen & Dynasty Cream: Review
Earlier this year I bought quite a few Korean sunscreens from Stylevana and among them is the famed Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics Sunscreen (C$18 for 50ml). To meet the purchase amount for free shipping, I also picked up the Dynasty Cream (C$24 for 50 ml), one of Beauty of Joseon's bestselling products. I've been using both throughout the summer so I thought I'd share with you my thoughts today......

Trader Joe's | Daily Facial Sunscreen: Review
As I live near the US border, I sometimes visit the nearest Trader Joe's to satisfy my snack cravings. Earlier this year, I saw a restock of the famous Daily Facial Sunscreen (US$8.99 for 50 ml), which gained a lot of traction on social media for its reputation as a dupe of the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen. I've never tried the Supergoop sunscreen and am generally not a fan of silicone-heavy sunscreens but given the fantastic price, I picked one up anyways. So let's take a closer look...

La Roche-Posay | Anthelios Age Correct Daily Cream SPF 50+: Review
A couple days ago I attended a press event hosted by La Roche-Posay promoting sun health and was introduced to their newest release. As someone with combination skin, I'm very picky when it comes to sunscreens. Therefore, I am not very consistent with sunscreen use and instead, opt for just wearing a hat or avoiding the sun altogether. Nevertheless, I am always on the lookout for a new sunscreen that I would use on a daily basis. Historically, my go-to has been the Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen. However, in recent years, I've been testing out some other options as the Biore one is not always readily available where I live. Therefore, I was very excited about the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Age Correct Daily Cream SPF 50+ (C$54.95 for 50 ml), which is described as a "new generation of daily skincare" that offers both skincare benefits and ample sun protection. To read all about it and read my thoughts on the formulation, click......

Biossance | Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30: Review
I'm always excited when my favorite skincare brands release a sunscreen although the last time that happened, it was a bit of a disaster. Nevertheless, I was still pretty ecstatic to learn Biossance offers a physical sunscreen made with 100 percent non-nano zinc. With a hydrating, sheer formulation, the Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 PA+++ (C$40 for 50 ml) promises to leave no white cast.
