Caudalie | Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser, Skin Perfecting Serum & Salicylic Spot Solution: Review
Caudalie is a brand I consistently enjoy but they never get enough hype in the skincare community. Therefore, I want to introduce a few products from their Vinopure Collection, designed for those with acne-prone skin. To read about the Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser (C$38 for 100 ml), the Vinopure Skin Perfecting Serum (C$64 for 30 ml), and the brand new Vinopure Salicylic Spot Solution (C$32 for 15 ml), click......

The INKEY List | Clean & Affordable Skincare: Review

The INKEY List | Clean & Affordable Skincare Range: Review
Introduced back in 2018, The INKEY List is a (relatively) new skincare brand built around the idea of "knowledge"-knowledge about ingredients, knowledge about packaging, and knowledge about the environmental impact of the products/production. Formulated with clean, cruelty-free ingredients, The INKEY List offers simple, ingredient-driven products available at a very affordable price. Dubbed by some as the new The Ordinary (from DECIEM), The INKEY List is certainly a very intriguing brand. I've been testing out a handful of its most popular products lately so I wanted to share with you my thoughts today. To read on, click......

DECIEM | The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution & Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%: Review
Last month DECIEM had a 23% off sale so I took the opportunity to restock and pick up a few products I've been curious to try. With the ups and downs behind the scenes, DECIEM definitely lost a lot of its online buzz garnered over the past couple of years. However, the brand is still the go-to place for innovative and quality skincare and today I want to review with you a couple of bestsellers from their affordable The Ordinary range. To read my thoughts on the Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution (C$8.70) and Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (C$5.90), click......

Omorovicza | Acid Fix AHA BHA Treatment: Review

Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links and the products featured were provided for review.
Ever since I was introduced to alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) in the form of the amazing Pixi Glow Tonic, I've been incorporating the ingredient into my daily skincare routine. I've tried AHA cleansers, masks, toners, and creams but my favorite category has to be serums. I've tried the likes of the Sunday Riley Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment, the Drunk Elephant Glycolic Night Serum, and the Pixi Overnight Glow Serum, and while they have all been pretty awesome, I am always interested in trying something new. So when Omorovica sent over their Acid Fix AHA BHA Treatment ($165 CAD for 30 ml), I was beyond excited! Now that I'm almost halfway through the bottle, I am ready to share with you my thoughts on the formulation. To read my review, click......

Rodan + Fields | Unblemish Regimen: Review

Rodan + Fields | Unblemish Regimen for Acne: Review
Probably best known as the creators of Proactiv, dermatologist Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields launched Rodan + Fields in 2002 in the hopes of offering a premium skincare brand with clinical results. The brand recently launched in Canada and I took the opportunity to test out their Unblemish Regimen since I still struggle with mild acne on a daily basis. There has been ongoing criticism of the brand's multi-level marketing strategy but as all the products are currently available directly through Rodan + Fields' website, I feel no moral quandary in talking about the products as I'm all about efficacy and quality at the end of the day. So if you are curious to read my review of the Unblemish Regimen ($207 CAD per set or each sold separately), click.......

Burt's Bees | Natural Anti-Blemish Solutions Skincare Review
Summer is slowly winding down so the back-to-school season is now upon us. For the first time in a long, long time, I am not returning to school in September as I’ve started working full time. However, having been a student for so many years, I know first hand the stress and anxiety (and excitement, of course) that comes with the back-to-school season.
So today I want to share with you a few products from Burt’s Bees® that will help combat those stress-induced blemishes and make school life just a little easier. Available in stores at Walmart and online at Walmart.com, Burt’s Bees products are responsibly sourced and sustainably made with natural ingredients. The range offers everything from lip care, skin care, to makeup, and the Natural Anti-Blemish Solutions collection is specially designed for oily, combination skin to gently yet effectively eradicate breakouts. Beauty + Tech | Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask: Review

Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask: Review
As a long-time acne-sufferer, I am always on the look out for the next best thing in acne treatment. There appears to be a recent emergence of at-home LED light therapy treatments and I've reviewed one such device from Foreo. The results were pretty disappointing but I have been testing out another device from Neutrogena called the Light Therapy Acne Mask ($45.99 CAD). Employing a similar technology but a different method of delivery, the Light Therapy Acne Mask targets a much larger area and employs both red and blue LED lights. So, did the mask help reduce breakouts? Read my review to find out......

Foreo Espada Blue Light Acne Treatment: Review
One of my greatest woes in life is my acne-prone skin and I've invested many hours and dollars over the years to find the perfect treatment to clear my complexion. Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acids are my current go-to's for preventing and treating breakouts but I am always on the look out for the newest, jazziest innovations. Employing the power of the 415 nm blue LED light that's used by dermatologists, the Foreo Espada ($199 CAD) is a gentle, painless, at-home acne treatment that promises to "blast blemishes out of existence". I've put the device to the test for the past few weeks and am here today to share with you a detailed, info-packed review to help you decide whether or not the device is worth the investment. Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Acne Treatment Collection: Review

Philosophy Clear Days Ahead Acne Treatment Collection: Review
I suffered from very severe acne in my teenage years so I knew that adult acne would be something I'd have to deal with for the years to come. Therefore, I use acne treatments on a regular basis to help prevent breakouts and reduce existing spots. I've been pretty faithful to my Proactiv moisturizer treatment for several years now but I'm always up for testing out new products. Not too long ago, Philosophy launched a brand new salicylic acid-based acne treatment line called the Clear Days Ahead Acne Treatment. I've been using the collection for several months now so today I wanted to give you a low down on all four products. To read my reviews, click......

Murad Blemish Control Travel Set: Review

Murad Blemish Control Travel Set: Review
If you've been following the blog for a while, you'll know that I've been a long-time acne sufferer. In high school I had very serious acne all over my face and although things have gotten significantly better over the years, I still get the occasional patches of breakouts along my jawline.
Nowadays, I use the Proactiv Repairing Treatment on a regular basis in combination with my non-acne care skin care routine, but every once in a while I'll test out a new acne treatment product. So today I want to share with you my experience with the Murad Blemish Control Travel Set ($40 CAD), which includes a Clarifying Cleanser, a Blemish Clearing Solution, and a Oil-Control Mattifier. How well does this blemish control system work? Read on to find out.......
