APLB | Glutathione Niacinamide Sunscreen & Ampoule Serum: Review
Recently, YesStyle sent me a couple of products from APLB to test out. An acronym for "A plus B", APLB is a Korean skincare brand established in 2014. I've tried their Retinol Vitamin C Vitamin E Ampoule Serum brand before and really enjoyed it so I was excited to try the Glutathione Niacinamide Sunscreen (C$14 for 40 ml) and Glutathione Niacinamide Ampoule Serum ($14 for 40 ml). Both products are part of the extensive Glutathione Niacinamide line-up from APLB, designed to replenish, brighten, and smooth the skin. To read all about the sunscreen and the serum, click......

Packaged in a simple squeeze tube with a regular nozzle opening, the APLB Glutathione Niacinamide Sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen offering SPF 50+ PA ++++. Formulated with glutathione (a powerful antioxidant), niacinamide, Centella Asiatic (Cica) extract, squalane, and hyaluronic acid, the scent-free sunscreen has a super lightweight lotion consistency that completely blends out without leaving any white cast.

The formulation goes on very smoothly and feels lightly hydrating. The finish is initially a touch dewy but will dry down matte. There is no pilling or patching. The APLB Glutathione Niacinamide Sunscreen formulation is lighter compared to the likes of the Round Lab Birch Moisturizing Sunscreen and the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun. As someone with oily/combination skin, I definitely prefer this more. However, those with dry skin may need something a bit richer. Honestly, there is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this sunscreen. The formulation is fantastic and the price point is stellar. An airless pump packaging would really seal the deal but this is still absolutely a sunscreen I would recommend to anyone looking for great protection and a light, non-greasy finish.

Housed in a plastic bottle with a dropper dispenser, Glutathione Niacinamide Sunscreen from APLB is an all-in-one serum that brightens and moisturizes while also diminishing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Formulated with Cica extract, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, glutathione, rice extract, and many of the same active ingredients as the sunscreen, the serum has a very runny and lightweight consistency. Scent-free and non-greasy, the serum spreads nicely and absorbs quickly, leaving no heavy or icky residue. I've not used this long enough to see a dramatic difference but I do notice a boost in hydration and radiance.
