Pink Gem 2.0: Julep "Mandy" and Nfu-Oh #40

Disclaimer: The following products were purchased by me.
Hello guys, happy Monday and Remembrance Day! I caught a cold over the weekend so I am going to keep this post short and sweet. Back in February this year, not long after The Happy Sloths was born, I did a "Pink Gem" manicure post featuring Essie's "Shine of the Times" over a hot pink from Julep. I replicated the look during the summer using a different hot pink and a different flakie polish! Read more here......

Neon Zig Zag Nails: Manicure Featuring BigRuby Nail Tattoos

Disclaimer: The nail tattoo were provided for review.
I did this manicure quite a while ago back in May, it has taken me this long to share it with y'all because I thought the manicure was sort of a dud. In hindsight, I should have paired the purple zigzag nail tattoo from BigRuby Nail Tattoos with a more neutral color, instead of this retina-singeing neon orange called "Orange Zest" from Jessica. Anyways, to see more pictures, click......

Nfu Oh #40 Flakie Nail Polish: Review and Swatches

A while ago when I was at the pinnacle of my flakie obsession, I ordered one of the apparently very well known flakies from Nfu Oh, a Korean nail polish brand that is manufactured in France. I did a lot of research online to see which one of their flakies I wanted, since each cost $11.50 CAD on Nail Polish Canada. Finally I settled on #40, a green/blue/violet flakie suspended in a clear base. So was the money well spent? Click "read more" to find out......

Dark Jewels Nails: Another Manicure Featuring "Shine of the Times" from Essie

Happy Saturday everybody! I've got a quick NOTD today featuring a very simple combo of "Knockout" from Revlon and "Shine of the Times" from Essie. As I have said many a time, "Shine of the Times" just looks enchanting on top of any base color and black is no exception. Unfortunately, "Shine of the Times" was discontinued, although you can find it on ebay and other online places (Christine from Little Red Bow found it on well.ca). However, I believe Color Club has a polish called "Snow Flakes" that is a very good dupe for "Shine of the Times".
Alright, that's all for today, hope y'all have a good one, cheers!

Julep's DIY Nail Polish Cabochon Ring: Mini Review and Photos

A few weeks ago I bought a couple of the DIY Cabochon Rings from Julep's Online Warehouse sale. I knew right away I wanted to make a flakie one. I used one coat of Essie's Shine of The Times and one coat of Nfu-oh #40 over a black from Revlon called "Knockout". To see more pictures, click......

Summer Margarita: Manicure Featuring "Daisy", "Leah", and "Annie" from Julep

About a month ago, I saw Manicured Amateur do a nice blue green yellow gradient look that I really liked, so I decided it to try it on myself. When I finished I went back to her post again and only then  did I notice that she used a flakie topcoat too! Man I feel like such a copycat! But hey, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery right? Right?
Anyhow, to see what I used, click......

Opalescent Blue Gems: Manicure featuring "Shine of the Times" from Essie and "Annie" from Julep

By now y'all should know that Essie's "Shine of the Times" is probably my favorite nail polish of all time. It goes perfectly over any polish, making every color just that much more special! Here I paired it with a beautiful blue called "Annie" from Julep. To see some more amazing photos (if I do say so myself, hehe), click........

Dragon Egg Nails

School is out for a week, so I got some free time on my hands. Thus, I invited an old friend over and did her nails for her. I used one coat of China Glaze's "Deviantly Daring" and one coat of Essie's "Shine of the Times" to create an enchanting dragon egg effect.
